ACCLAIMED musician Angharad Thomas will perform a Vivaldi bassoon concerto on Saturday, Ocober 5, at the first Waverley Ensemble concert of the season.

For the last three years, as principal bassoonist, she has played with the National Youth Orchestra of Wales under the baton of Owain Arwel Hughes, Carlo Rizzi and Jac van Steen.

Waverley Ensemble concerts are organised by award-winning Haslemere violinist Ishani Bhoola, who will be playing Summer and Autumn from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.

The ensemble is a group of eight professional string and keyboard players based in and around the Haslemere area.

Many concerts include guest soloists including members of the Tippett String Quartet.
