GREENING up at Shottermill Infant School continued with an evening workshop for parents on how to make a festive wreath.
The event was organised by The Friends of Shottermill Infants.
Headteacher Jilly Storey said: “Everyone enjoyed the festive nibbles and drinks as they learnt how to make their own wreaths from locally foraged greenery.
“A huge thank you to Amy Cooke-Hurle and Karen Gleave for all their hard work in organising this super event and raising £350 for the school fund.”
The school has been selected to join the Surrey Greener Future initiative.
The Friends now have a green team too, comprising Abby Bishop Clarke and Amy Cooke-Hurle to help take the project forwards.
Amy presented the school’s ideas at the county council’s Greener Future Design Challenge.
