A MILITARY charity is looking for people to take part in sky-diving fundraiser to support limbless veterans.

Blesma, The Limbless Veterans is seeking adventurous fundraisers to take part the annual ‘Fall for the Fallen’ skydive which will take place at GoSkydive in Old Sarum Park, Salisbury, Wiltshire, on August 12-13.

A national charity for all limbless service men and women, their widows and dependents, Blesma was formed in the years following the First World War and became a national charity in 1932.

Blesma is aiming to raise £100,000 through the sky-diving event to carry on supporting veterans who have lost limbs or the use of their limbs to lead independent and fulfilling lives through welfare support and an activities programme.

Zanika Fearon, community and events fundraising manager at Blesma said: “Although combat operations in Afghanistan ended in December 2014, those who suffered as a result of that conflict and others besides are still living with the consequences.

Events like this one raise vital funds that allows Blesma to carry on supporting them throughout their lives.

“So please show your support, sign up to take part in Fall for the Fallen and jump in memory of a comrade while raising funds for those who have to live with life-changing amputations.”
