IN A year when not all awards ceremonies have run smoothly, it’s safe to say that the Farnham Town Player of the Season Awards – sponsored by Covers Builders Merchants – were something of a success.

Josh Ogunseye, Ollie Ryman and Robbie Davenport were the big winners on the day, as they each collected two awards.

Held in the garden of Farnham Town’s refurbished clubhouse after the final game of the season against Colliers Wood United, the awards saw players from the first team, under-23 development team and the title-winning under-18s enjoy a superb afternoon in the spring sunshine.

Covers are celebrating their 175th anniversary this year, and Aldershot depot manager Caroline Taylor was in attendance on the day to present the awards.

For the first team, who were celebrating their first season back in Step 5, Josh Ogunseye won the Covers Manager’s Player of the Season award and the Covers Players’ Player of the Season award.

Tom Smith won the Covers Supporters’ Player of the Season award and Ollie Ryman won the Covers Breakthrough Player of the Season award.

For the under-23 development team, the Covers Manager’s Player of the Season award went to Robbie Davenport, the Covers Players’ Player of the Season award was won by George Barrett, and the Covers Clubman of the Season award went to James Batchelor.

For the title-winning under-18s, the Covers Manager’s Player of the Season award went to Elliot Hatherly, the Covers Players’ Player of the Season was won by Ollie Ryman, and the Covers Supporters’ Player of the Season award went to Robbie Davenport.

The awards were introduced by the successful under-18 management team of Dan Goodall and Scott Rimmington.

Congratulations were given to everyone who won an award and everyone who contributed to their success.

The club also thanked everyone that has supported Farnham Town this season.
