Liss Athletic lost 4-3 at home to Colden Common in the Hampshire Premier Football League Senior Division.

The Blues trailed 2-0 at the interval, and Common then stunned Liss with two more before the hour to give Mark Glazier’s side a mountain to climb. Seamus Evans pulled one back for the hosts to begin the fightback, with Jack Noble heading a second and Elliot Harrison also finding the target. But Common held on to collect their first points of the campaign.

The defeat followed Liss’ 4-1 local derby triumph at Liphook United last Tuesday night (August 15).

Adrian Ankers got Liss off to the perfect start, flighting his set-piece into the top corner. The hosts levelled through Billy Allcock, but second-half goals from Angus Mackay, Elliot Harrison and Max Butler sealed the three points.
