ALRESFORD consolidated their sixth place in the Rymans League Premier Division, but had to come from behind to beat a determined Lymington side on their own turf.

Charlie Willett scored the opener and the New Forest side retained the lead at the interval, leaving the Magpies with it all to do in the second half.

Parity was finally restored when Sam Burt cut back a good ball and Scott Munro arrowed his shot into the top corner.

Munro followed up with a downward header that bounced over the crossbar.

But Alresford were not to be denied and, right at the death, Craig Harding finished clinically to clinch all three points for Alresford.

Alresford travel to bottom side Verwood in Dorset this Saturday. The Magpies host fourth-placed Sholing on Wednesday (March 29).
