DELIGHTED Aldershot Town manager Danny Searle felt his players got the reward they deserved after thrashing Dover Athletic 4-0 at the EBB Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Shots have been praised for some of the football they have played this season, but have often been let down by a lack of a clinical edge.
That all changed against Dover, when goals from Shamir Mullings, Jacob Berkeley-Agyepong, Jack Powell and Alefe Santos gave the hosts the three points.
And Searle felt a convincing win had been coming for his side.
“We’ve said in the dressing room and in training that someone sooner or later is going to be on the end of a three or four-goal victory for us,” said Searle. “It’s been coming.
