NINETY-SIX entries have been received for the Vine & Craven Point-to-Point at Hackwood Park, near Basingstoke on Saturday.

The current going is good to soft and the weather is set fair for the weekend.

Gates open at 1pm for the packed programme of racing and various other attractions. The racing starts with Pony Scurries at 3pm, with the first of the six sponsored races off at 4.30pm.

It always make a good spectacle at Hackwood, with runners and riders taking on the course’s downhill back straight and uphill finish, travelling over 4ft 3in jumps at speeds of up to 30 mph.
