FOUR new captains have officially taken on their roles at Blackmoor Golf Club.

The quartet were introduced at the yearly captains’ drive-in on October 12 – the day after the thriving Hampshire club’s annual meeting.

Following tradition and smacking the ball off the first tee were new club captain Dennis Pym, ladies’ captain Frances Hudson, junior captain Ben Isachsen, and senior captain David Worlsey.

Mr Pym also announced that The UK Sepsis Trust was his chosen charity of the year.

One charity that knows the true benefit of being backed by Blackmoor golfers is the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, which will receive a welcome cheque for £10,100.

The airborne lifesaver was the chosen good cause of immediate past captain Linda Frost and the immediate past ladies’ captain Anne Fisk.
