FRIMLEY A chalked up their first win of the season in the Aldershot Table Tennis League Division One, beating Ash A 7-3.

Nigel Oh led the way with a full house, while team-mates Tim Ngyou and Ce Guo chipped in with doubles.

Fleet A were convincing 8-2 winners over Tennis B. Fallon Thompson was unbeaten and Lawrence Dack and David Joyce won two apiece, both losing to Paul Shakespeare.

Phil Snelson, Peter Millard and Paul Baker plundered the points as Central A whitewashed Tennis C 10-0.

Ash C notched up their first win of the season in Division Two. Frank Winnard and Nigel Tustin both secured maximums in the 8-2 success against Tennis D.

Frimley B defeated their C team 7-3, with John Eade winning three and Pete Good and David Mackinnon two each, both losing to the C team’s Anthony Connelly.

The top two teams in Division Three maintained their 100 per cent records. Crawley Ridge B edged past Ash E 6-4 (doubles for Phil Garrett and David Skellern and Ash’s Terry French), while Tennis G narrowed the gap by trouncing Cody C 9-1 (Peter Bone 3, Martin Evans 3, Mehrdad Abutalebi 2).

Kim Phillips claimed a treble as Cody D saw off Ash D 7-3. Team-mate John Sheehy and Jo Bartlett (Ash) won two apiece.

Tennis F beat Crawley Ridge A 6-4. Charles Burton (3) and Tushar Vaja (2) played well for the winners, as did Russell Gibbs (2) for Crawley.

Crawley Ridge C and Cody E lost their unbeaten records in Division Four. Frimley F were too good for Crawley, with Ted Cornell unbeaten in the 6-4 victory. Richard Hornby and Yuriy Shulzhenko won two each for Crawley Ridge.

Frimley E triumphed 6-4 against Cody. Ramesh Vasudevamurthy recorded his regular treble for Frimley and Charles Rhodes supported with a double. Malcolm Moran-Ellis won twice for Cody.

Fourteen-year-old Miguel Lopes won two for Tennis H who defeated Ash F 7-3. Michael Wolfe and John Page also took two for Tennis, as did Graham Thomas for Ash.

Alan Yeung won all three for Fleet C who overpowered Cody F 8-2. Roy Chittenden and John Allan contributed doubles, both losing to Cody’s Nigel Willshire.

Tennis J and Braybrooke B shared the points. Sandra Jackson was unbeaten for Braybrooke and Kenny Duarte won twice, as did Keith Johnson for Tennis.
