EMILY Harris, a 14-year-old pupil at Lord Wandsworth College, near Alton, represented Great Britain at the U18 Women’s Ice Hockey World Championships in Poland.

Playing against Italy, Denmark, Poland, China and Kazakstan, the GB team finished fourth in the table.

Not only was Emily awarded Player of the Game by her team against Denmark, she also received the Great Britain Supporters Club trophy for their Player Of The Tournament.

Lord Wandsworth headmaster Adam Williams said: “We’re extremely proud of Emily’s efforts. A lot of hard work and perseverance goes into performing at this level and she is doing fantastically well.”
