YOUNG rugby players from Farnham are set to converge on Dorset this weekend.

The occasion is the Farnham minis circus tour, which runs from today until Sunday.

The three-day tour to Warmwell, near Weymouth, will feature more than 230 young players – from under-sixes to under-11s – and around 360 adults and supporters, raising money for the Childline charity along the way.

With the emphasis on fun and community, there will still be serious rugby to be played against young sides from Bournemouth and Dorchester.

DD Findlay, head of the minis circus tour team, said: “We are really excited about playing rugby with our host clubs; and the tour is also about reinforcing team, community and family bonds, creating memories the kids will always have about Farnham. It’s an extraordinarily fun event!”
